Committee for State Security of the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic

Committee for State Security of the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic (Russian:Комитет государственной безопасности Узбекской ССР) or KGB of UzSSR was the security agency of the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, being the local branch of Committee for State Security of the USSR. On September 26, 1991, the KGB of the Uzbek SSR was transformed into the National Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan.[1]
