Come4news is a website of news with voluntary and non-professional writers, created by Fabien Bardoux in April 2007, after acquiring Technoblog.[2]

A pioneer[3] in the field of citizen journalism, Come4News is in line with the French community newspapers like Indymedia (1999). Many sites more or less participatory have emerged since then, such as Rue89, The Huffington Post, Mediapart and Atlantico. It can be compared to the Korean site OhmyNews.

In January, 2013, near 8000 volunteers[4] enrolled as editors on the French website. They are 10525 reporters today. At that time, the site had more than a thousand of volunteer moderators. Many categories have emerged since the launching of Come4News : Politics, environment, Education, Healthcare, Economics, Sports...
