Cody Thomas Blackbird is an award-winning musician, best known for playing the Native American flute.[1] In 2011, Blackbird became the youngest ever winner of the Flutist of the Year ward at the 13th Native American Music Awards.[2] His 2013 collaboration with Frank Waln, Hear My Cry, was nominated for both Single of the Year and Best Debut/Group/Duo, winning the former.[3] With the Cody Blackbird Band, composed of himself, his brother Caleb, Xavier Torres and Lewis Schenk,[1] Blackbird released All In in 2016.[4]
