The Co-Cathedral Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity [1] (Polish: Bazylika Konkatedralna Trójcy Świętej ) also called Chełmża Cathedral[2] is the name given to a religious building belonging to the Catholic Church and is located in the city of Chełmża[3] in the European country of Poland.[4] Since 1982, he received the status of Minor Basilica since 1994 and is the co-cathedral or alternate cathedral of the Diocese of Torun (Dioecesis Thoruniensis or Diecezja Toruńska).

Located on a slope, lakeshore, was built in stages from 1251 until the second quarter of the fourteenth century. During the construction of the cathedral structure was destroyed twice in the invasions of Prussia (1267 and 1286) and in 1422 as a result of the Lithuanian-Tatar raids, there was a fire in the church.

In 1950, a fire destroyed the ceilings of the vaults of the nave, the dome and the central arch beam. Reconstruction in the years 1968-1971 allowed the Church back to its original appearance.
