Claudia Kauffman is a politician, a former Democratic Washington State Senator, representing the 47th District, the first Native American woman elected to the state senate. She was defeated after a single term, in the November 2010 general election. As of 2017, she is a candidate for Seattle Port Commissioner Position 1.[1]
