Christopher Binyon Sarofim (born 1963/64) is an American businessman and fund manager, the deputy chairman of Fayez Sarofim & Co.

Early life

Christopher Sarofim is the eldest son of Fayez Sarofim and his first wife, Louisa Stude.[2]

He received a bachelor's degree in history from Princeton University in 1986.[3][1]

Career

After university, Sarofim worked in corporate finance for Goldman Sachs, and then joined Fayez Sarofim & Co.[3][1]

He is the deputy chairman of Fayez Sarofim & Co.[3] He is the designated successor of Fayez Sarofim.[2]

Personal life

He was married to Valerie Biggs Sarofim, a former semi-professional skier.[4] They had a high-profile divorce in 2000, with allegations of infidelity, cocaine use, and child neglect.[2][4] They had a daughter together, who was later the subject of a custody battle.[5]

Sarofim later married a close friend of his ex-wife, Courtney Lanier, daughter of the former mayor of Houston Bob Lanier.[4]
