Christoph Henkel (born February 1958) is a London-based German billionaire businessman.
Early life
Christoph Henkel was born in February 1958.[2]
Henkel's grandfather, Fritz Henkel, founded Henkel, a cleaning products company, in 1876.[3] His father, Konrad Henkel, took over the company and turned it into a global corporation.[3] Christoph Henkel was born in February 1958[4]
Career
Henkel inherited a £1 billion stake in the German chemical company Henkel shortly after his father's death in 1999.[3]
He is a co-founder and co-owner of Canyon Equity, headquartered in Larkspur, California.[3][5]
He is also the owner of a holiday resort in Colorado, US.
He received an honorary doctorate from the University of Düsseldorf in 2007.[3]
In April 2015, the Sunday Times estimated his net worth at £1.07 billion.[6]
Personal life
Henkel resides in London, UK.[3] He is married to Katrin Bellinger, an art dealer and collector, specialising in Old Master drawings.[7]
