Christina Hammer (born August 16, 1990 in Nowodolinka, Kazakh SSR[1]) is an undefeated German boxer World Champion. She grew up in Sontra and lives and trains in Dortmund.[2]

Career

Five times world boxing champion[3] Christina Hammer started at age 15 with the sport of boxing. She was trained by Robert Staar. At the age of 16 she was German Junior Champion and soon joined the professional coach Dimitri Kirnos in Dortmund in the professional business.[4]

On 12 September 2009 she started her professional career with a fight against Melisa Koktar. In 2010, she was, at age 20, the youngest WBO world champion, winning against Teresa Perozzi in Riesa.[5] After her WBO title, Hammer won the WBF title on February 18, 2011 against Diana Kiss. Hammer defended on 27 May 2011 the WBO WBF title against the Swede Maria Lindberg in 10 rounds. On 26 July 2014, she won the WBO light middleweight title against Anne Sophie Mathis by disqualification, but the result later changed to No Contest.

Until the end of May 2016 she was at Sport Events Steinforth in Magdeburg under contract. Currently she fights for Petkos LMS Box Promotion in Munich.[6]

On 5 November 2016 in the fight against WBC World Champion US-American Kali Rice, Hammer successfully defended her WBO World Champion Title and won WBC World Champion Title in the middleweight class, clearly on points.[7]

December 2017 US Promoter Salita Promotions proudly announced the signing of undefeated women’s unified world middleweight champion Christina Hammer to a multi-fight promotional contract. Her fight are televise on Showtime.[8]

Christina Hammer is the first female professional boxer to own an online casino. She donates 5% of her online casino income to World Boxing Cares, charity organization of WBC.[9]

Hammer is also a lingerie model.[10]

Christina Hammer became the first German fighter to successfully defend a world title in the US since Max Schmeling successfully defended his heavyweight title in 1931.[11]

On 4th of October 2018 Lady Hammer has been voted to the final round of askgamblers awards.[12]
