Chris Minh Doky (born 7 February 1969) is a Vietnamese-Danish bassist living in Copenhagen and New York City.[1] He is the younger brother of jazz pianist Niels Lan Doky. Though Doky has worked in many genres, his main area of music is jazz.[2] He released his first album, Appreciation, in 1989[3] only four years after picking up the instrument.

As a sideman, he has most notably collaborated with the Mike Stern Band,[4] Michael Brecker Quartet,[5] Trilok Gurtu & Crazy Saints, Ryuichi Sakamoto[6] and David Sanborn.

As a solo artist, he is one of the most successful bassists of his generation.[7] His sound is often described as a blend of his native Scandinavian tradition, with the feel of his adopted homeland, the United States.[8] His wife Tanja is a lady-in-waiting to Denmark's Crown Princess Mary.
