Chris Curran (born 3 August, 1974 – October, 2018) was a former Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Curran, a midfielder who could also play as a tagger, played for both the Collingwood and Richmond reserves early in his career.[1] While with Collingwood reserve he won the Joseph Wren Memorial Trophy in 1994. The Box Hill player was elevated to Collingwood's senior list in the 1994 AFL Draft, where he was a pre-draft supplementary selection. He made 10 appearances in 1995 and the following year averaged 18 disposals from nine games.[2] An injury prone player, he retired after playing just three games in the 1998 AFL season.[2]

Post-AFL Career

Curran worked for many years at St Margaret's School, displaying his love of sport as a physical education teacher. He strived to make all feel comfortable and was an extremely revered member of the community, by both staff and students alike.
