Chittaranjan Yajnik

Dr. Chittaranjan Yajnik is a medical scientist from Pune, India, a specialist in the fields of Diabetes research and maternal nutrition.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16]

He is known for his work on the topic of the ‘thin-fat’ Indian, which explains that though not obese by international criteria Indians are adipose (high body fat percent). Professor Yajnik has extensive work in the field of intrauterine programming of diabetes and was successful in showing possible role of maternal micronutrient nutrition in its aetiology.[17]
