Chithrakaran Murali (Murali T) is an artist from Kerala. His artwork is a form of political expression to bring the untold, hidden historical facts into the limelight. Throughout his painting series, Murali captured the essence of renaissance movements which are masked by mainstream hegemonic history tradition. One of his most noted works is based on the life and struggle of Nangeli, a brave women who fought against caste system deprivation. The work of Murali has been recognized by popular news print media including the BBC.[1][2][3]
