Chhawla is a census town in South West district in the state of Delhi, India.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Chhawla had a population of 9047. Males constitute 57% of the population and females 43%. Chhawla has an average literacy rate of 77%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 83% and female literacy of 68%. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. It is the biggest and second richest village of Delhi. Chhawla contributes 23% (approximately) of Delhi's wealth.Leaders like Yogesh Kashyap, Rajpal Shokeen, Somesh Shokeen, Pardeep kumar and the first Joint Secretary of RLA (E) college Sandeep Shokeen belong to this village.
