The Chery eQ1 is an all-electric car that is manufactured by the NEV division of Chinese manufacturer Chery. The eQ1 was originally planned to be called the Chery @ant during the reveal in 2016, but was later given the eQ1 name to sit inline with the Chery eQ with the Chinese nickname still being the "Ant" during the official launch in 2017.
Originally code-named the Chery S51 EV, the Chery eQ1 is powered by an electric motor putting out 41hp. The top speed of the eQ1 is 100 km/h with range of 151 kilometers. Charging the eQ1 fully will take 8 hours on 220V sockets. [1]The price of the Chery eQ1 starts from 49,800 yuan to 99,800 yuan ($7,240-14,516), including new energy vehicle subsidies in China. [2]
The Chery eQ1 was available as part of the EvCard electric car sharing service in China as of 2018.
