Chemult is an Amtrak train station in Chemult, Oregon. There are currently approximately 9,000 passenger trips at the Chemult facility each year, per the Oregon Dept. of Transportation.[3] It is not staffed and only consists of a platform structure and a warming shelter, which is the subject of much criticism for being too small.[4] Trains must make a double stop at the station because the cement platform is so short.[5]

The HighDesert POINT bus service offers connecting service to Bend, Oregon.[4]

New station

A new Chemult station was built on the site in 2010. The new station cost $600,000 and was built in the Cascadian architecture style.[3] Construction began in May 2010 and was completed in November, in time for a November 10 opening.[3]
