Charles Cathcart (16 March 1853 - 22 February 1932) was a Scottish former international rugby union player who played for Edinburgh University. He was a Forward.[1]

Cathcart played for Edinburgh University.[2]

Provincial career

He was capped by Edinburgh District.[3] He appeared in the world's first non-international representative match in 1871; the 'inter-city', the inter-district match between Edinburgh District and Glasgow District

International career

He was capped 3 times for Scotland.[4] His debut came in the second international match in 1872 playing against England at The Oval, London.[5]
