Charles Robert Alexander (8 November 1847 – 17 February 1902) was an English cricketer and barrister. He was the son of James Alexander and Anna Maria Julia Dalison and was born in Westminster, London.[1]

A right-handed batsman, Alexander was educated at Eton College and captained the school cricket XI in 1867, his final year at the school. He made his first-class cricket debut for Kent County Cricket Club against the Gentlemen of MCC later in the same year. Alexander appeared three further times for Kent, playing his final first-class match for the county in 1869 against Sussex.

From Eton, Alexander went up to King's College, Cambridge, graduating in 1871.[2] He made his debut for the University Cricket Club against Surrey at The Oval in 1870 before playing one more first-class match for the University against MCC.[3]

He entered the Middle Temple as a law student in 1868, and Lincoln's Inn in 1873 before he was called to the bar in 1874.[4] In later life he was a member of the London Stock Exchange.[2]

He died in February 1902 at Westminster aged 54.
