Chancellerie des Universités de Paris

The Chancellerie des Universités de Paris is a service of the Ministry of higher education in the Academy of Paris. It is a "twin" of the Rectorat of Paris for the higher education. It is a national public education entity, with administrative status and with autonomous moral and financial status, under the authority of the French ministry of higher education.[1] It has a vice-chancellor and a general secretary.

Function

The Chancellerie des Universités de Paris assists the Rector in the management of the universities of the Paris region. Its main function is the management of the assets of the universities, most notably their shared property, including the Sorbonne building.

The Chancellerie des Universités de Paris is headquartered in the Sorbonne building.
