Chamaeza is a genus of South American birds in the Formicariidae family.
The genus was erected by the Irish zoologist Nicholas Aylward Vigors in 1825 with the cryptic antthrush (Chamaeza meruloides) as the type species.[1]
The genus contains six species:[2]
- Short-tailed antthrush (Chamaeza campanisona)
- Striated antthrush (Chamaeza nobilis)
- Cryptic antthrush (Chamaeza meruloides)
- Rufous-tailed antthrush (Chamaeza ruficauda)
- Schwartz's antthrush (Chamaeza turdina)
- Barred antthrush (Chamaeza mollissima)
