Chak no.48/3R

Chak no.48/3R is a village in south west of Okara District, Pakistan. [1] It is 14 km away from Okara City. It has two localities: 48/3R and Niami. It is a planned village having wide streets and sewerage system. It is the headquarter of Union council no. 40 Okara.

Religion

The majority religion of the village is Islam and it has a mosque in its main square. Its name is "Jamia Masjid Bilal". A maddrassa is also attached with mosque naming "Jamia Siddiqia". It was built by Syed Mohammad Siddique Shah with collaboration of villagers. Jamia Masjid Abu Bakar and two other mosques are also in the village.

Education

  • Government High School 48/3R Okara started in 1927, as a primary school and upgraded in 1998 to an elementary school. In 2011 it was upgraded to a high school.
  • Government Girls Elementary School 48/3R is the school of girls of the village and surroundings.
  • New Radiant School is also working as private school.
  • Jamia Siddiqia is a religious school. A number of students learn Hifz and Nazra Quran Pak here.

Lifestyle

Agriculture is the main source of income of the people. So their lifestyle is rural. Punjabi is the mother language of the village. But Urdu and English are also popular. People eat desi food while fast food is also trending among the masses. A water filtration plant provides pure drinking water. It was established by Nemat Banaspati Okara. 'Kurta Shalwar' is the dress of people while youth wear jeans and shirts. 'Dhoti Kurta' is also popular with the villagers.
