In season 2018, they are set to compete in State League in New South Wales, they also have junior clubs that have teams as young as Under 9, which play in the various club competitions along the Central Coast.

Senior team history

Under the Central Coast Lightning banner the team played in the NSW Super League for close to 8 years, each year doing well, but not well enough to finish in the finals or be promoted into the NSW Premier League. Since 2005, they have reached the knock-out stages, but falling short of the Grand Final.

In 2011, the club underwent an identity change, which included changing its name from the CC Lightning, to CCFC.

In 2016, the club passed its licence to the Central Coast Mariners and focused on growing their youth development programs. In 2017, the club reapplied and was granted a licence to compete under its new Central Coast United branding from the start of the 2018 season.
