From its inception the school has maintained a high academic standard with many of its graduates attending and attaining college degrees. The school is also well known for its football program and basketball program who recorded a record of 38–1 in league between the years 1999–2003. [2] Sports offered at the school include football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, cross country, soccer, golf, swimming, tennis, water polo, wrestling, track, and cheerleading.

Controversy

In April 2016, two 16-year-old students were arrested for their involvement in a hate crime targeting an African American student [3] The two offenders sent a Snapchat video involving a noose and told the African American student that "You must die mother fucker," after which the second offender names the African American student. The video then cut to a handgun being fired.
