Celine Prins (born 1 August 1984) is a Dutch fashion model, actress and entrepreneur. She was discovered as a model in Barcelona at the age of 18 and joined Elite Model Management in Amsterdam. When she signed with IMG Models in Paris, she decided to pause her studies and focus on full-time modeling. After living abroad for several years, Prins decided to return to Amsterdam to finish her masters in International Business Studies at the University of Amsterdam. In 2012 she started Modellist-ID, a company and website that offers various services to international fashion models and a platform to connect models worldwide to each other and the public.[1][2][3][4][5]

Early life and education

Celine Prins was born on 1 August 1984 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. With her mother coming from France and her father being Dutch, she has two nationalities. After she graduated from high school accomplishing her VWO, she went to Spain for a gap-year to study the Spanish language. It was in Barcelona that she got discovered as a model. After returning from Spain, Prins started her studies at the University of Amsterdam. She decided to pause her education because of a full-time modeling career and lived abroad in various cities among which are Paris, London, Sydney, Milan and New York City. After several years Prins choose for part-time modeling in order study acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City and obtained a master's degree in Business Studies at the University of Amsterdam.[2][5][6]

Career

Modeling career

Being discovered in Barcelona at the age of 18, Prins first signed with Elite Models in Amsterdam. However, only when she signed with IMG models in Paris, Prins pursued a full-time modeling career. She worked for brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, L’Oreal, Björn Borg, Babyliss, Philips, Levi’s, Diesel and was published in fashion magazines like Cosmopolitan, Elle, Elle Girl (Dutch cover), Harpers Bazar Australia, Elegance, Avantages (cover) and Marie-Claire. In 2012 she won the Dutch Model Award. Currently, Prins is dividing her time between her modeling career, own business and various projects.[2][5][7][8][9][10][11][12]

Business career

Celine Prins’ experience as a model combined with her Business degree and entrepreneurial spirit, has led to the creation of Modellist-ID in 2012 and thereby Prins is one of the founders and CEO of organization. The concept for this company finds its roots in her own experiences as a model and the various difficulties models face when travelling and living abroad by themselves at a very young age. The organization offers a safe online community, many convenient services and worldwide deals to international fashion models of renowned modeling agencies. In several ways they can connect to each other and share both practical information and fun tips on various types of places to go. Acting career

With a creative spirit, Celine had always been drawn to singing and acting. It was only until she attended The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City, that acting became part of her career. Since 2008 she has played in several TV series and movies.[2][5][13][14]
