She lived in Algeria for some time before travelling to Paris; she lived in Algeria until the 1940s when it was under French colonisation. She graduated from the Medical University of Algeria. Career

In the early 1950s, Vidal returned to Algeria, where she worked as a personal assistant to Madame Fabré, a renowned aesthetician during that time. In 1962, she settled in France where she established one of the most prestigious laboratories in Paris.

Vidal left Paris to establish a professional cosmetics company in her native country of Spain in 1964, and named the company Germaine de Capuccini.
