Biography

Early life and career beginnings

Carmen describes her childhood days via Miss Earth official website as, "My childhood was very funny, I played with my cousins and brothers every day game were tough but as I got older I discovered in me a cute female and discovered the beauty contest.." She also adds, "I learned that practice makes perfect and that if we fail and slip up we get up. Listen to advice and take them into account, but always do what makes you feel happy and smile on all times."

Carmen joined the Miss Panamá 2014 pageant where she represented the state of Panamá Oeste. She won the "Miss Panamá Latinoamerica del Mundo" title but she resigned three days after the pageant.

2015: Miss Earth and Reina Hispanoamericana

Part of her training as Miss Earth Panama, Carmen represented Panama first at Reina Hispanoamericana 2015 in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. She competed with 23 other delegates where she was hailed as one the Top 9 finalists. The competition was won by Sofía del Prado Prieto of Spain.

"Take care of our common cause."

—Carmen's message for Miss Earth.

Being the winner of Miss Earth Panama 2015, Carmen has become Panama's representative at the Miss Earth 2015 and would try to succeed Jamie Herrell as the next Miss Earth.[4][5][6]

As a Miss Earth delegate, an advocacy is a must. When she was asked about her advocacy as Miss Earth, she answered via Miss Earth official website, "Water care. To make it easier to implement its care in our daily habits."

When she was also asked about how she can promote her country, she replied, "Culture and tourism, especially the Panama Canal. It is one of the most amazing architecture in the world and very striking for in my beautiful country when you visit Panama."
