The Carmelite Sisters of the Sacred Hearts, simply referred to as the Sisters of Carmel, are a monastic order of Carmelite nuns founded in 1987 in Colorado Springs. The foundational mission being to "preserve the authentic religious life as lived out in the original Rule and customs of Our Holy Mother, St. Teresa of Avila,"[1] the nuns observe the extraordinary form of the Roman Rite. The Order is closely associated with the Servants of the Holy Family.
