Carlos Evaristo

Carlos Evaristo is a Portuguese Canadian historian and author.

Carlos Evaristo and his family were known to Sister Lúcia and the Carmelite nuns of the Convent of Saint Teresa in Coimbra, Portugal. Evaristo was the official translator at meeting between the oldest visionary of Our Lady of Fátima and several Bishops and Cardinals from 1992 to 2005. During several of the interviews Sister Lúcia confirmed on video the validity of the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary that was made by Pope John Paul II on March 25, 1984.

One of the interviews was broadcast on Portuguese and Italian television stations for the purpose of public clarification following malicious attacks by Message of Fátima conspiracy theorists. Carlos Evaristo was the Director of the Castle Program in Ourém, and Evaristo appears frequently on radio and TV in Portugal and the United States when there are newsworthy programs broadcast on the Message of Fatima and Catholic Church related issues. Evaristo is Curator of Saint Stephen's Church Museum in Santarém, Portugal, the Shrine where the Most Holy Miracle of the Holy Eucharist occurred in the year 1247. Moreover, he is close to the Miguelist throne pretender Duarte Pio of Braganza and a senior member of the Order of Saint Michael of the Wing.[1]
