Candace Monae Smith is an actress and model, best known for her role in the reality TV series America's Next Top Model.[2][3][4][5][6]

Modeling career

She has been signed by several modeling agencies including State Management New York[1] and New York MMG.[7][8] This helped her obtain numerous modeling and acting jobs including photoshoots for Essence Magazine,[8][1][7] Seventeen Magazine,[8][1][7] Cosmopolitan Magazine,[8][1][7] an ad campaign for "My Black Is Beautiful,"[8][1][7] as well as a SlimFast commercial.[9]

Acting career

At the age of 22, she was accepted as a contestant on America's Next Top Model Cycle 18[10][11][12][13] which aired on The CW. This cycle featured 7 contestants from the United States and 7 contestants from the United Kingdom.[14]

Candace also obtained roles in several TV series/films including the Starz original Power (TV Series),[8] VH1's The Breaks (TV series),[8] the Netflix TV series She's Gotta Have It,[15] the 2018 musical drama Vox Lux,[16] and the upcoming (2019) Motherless Brooklyn (film).[17]

Candace was chosen to play the role of assassin in the upcoming (2019) film John Wick 3: Parabellum.[18][19]
