Cambridge School Noida (CSN) is a senior secondary school located in sector-27, NOIDA, India. It was established in 1981 as a branch of Cambridge School founded by Mr A.C. Deb, based in Srinivaspuri. It has about 3000 students and 200 teachers on its rolls. The school is affiliated to CBSE. The Officiating Principal is Mr. A. K. Bakshi. The school has separate Senior and Junior wings which are spread over a total of 11 acres of land in the vicinity of Noida's prime residential and commercial hub.

The wings

The Senior Wing houses classes VI to XII and is constructed on 7 acres (28,000 m2) of land. The Junior Wing comprises classes Nursery to V and is spread over 4 acres (16,000 m2) of land.

CSN has a library and reading room, three laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology, a Science Museum and General Science Laboratory, Mathematics Laboratory, Social Science Room, a Resource Centre, Computer and Multimedia Laboratory, an Audio visual room, Dance and Music room, Art and Sculpture room and a Photography room. There is a Medical room and an administrative block.

The school has an auditorium named after Roma Deb with a capacity of 2000 people, a projection room, and audio-visual facilities. There is a canteen to serve students snacks, and a swimming pool.

House system

The students are divided into six houses named after mountain ranges - Shivalik, Aravalli, Jayantia, Nilgiri, Satpura and Vindhya. The house system forms the basis of all competitions in the school.

Training is given in gardening, meal planning, and community services. Horse riding is introduced from pre-primary level. A Scout Master trains students who wish to become Scouts and Guides in the Senior Wing and Cubs and Bulbuls in the Junior Wing. Karate is introduced from Std. I. The school has an NCC for students.

'Eureka' (Junior) and 'Jigyasa '(Senior) are the two science clubs. An Interact Club has been formed under the aegis of Rotary International.

National Talent Search Examination NISE 2005 Three students cleared the state level NISE 2005

Helpage India Quiz In April 2005, students won the Inter-City Helpage India Quiz, Group A. They represented the school at the regional level and were runners up.

Declamation In July 2005, an Inter School Declamation Contest was held at Cambridge School, Srinivaspuri. A CSN student was declared the best speaker in the Senior group.

Horlicks Wizkids 2005 70 children participated in competitions like painting, sketching, quizzing, greeting card making, and a fancy dress competition, organized by ‘ Horlicks’ at the Inter-School level.

The Green Olympiad 66 students appeared in the written round of the Green Olympiad held at Apeejay School, Noida, in September 2005. The topic was "Environment and Substantial Development" organized by TERI.

Inter-school Debate Competition - Deliberation Amity International School, Noida organized a Debate Competition in October 2005. The topic of the debate was-"The World of Glamour- Is It Really Glamorous?"

Cambridge School Srinivaspuri – Platinum Jubilee Debate Students of CSN participated in the debate competition held at Cambridge School Srinivaspuri on 25 November 2005. Topic: " Peer Pressure is Beneficial"

International Informatics Olympiad 2005 The International Informatics Olympiad was held in August 2005 at CSN, 350 students from classes I-IX participated in the event. A student secured the 8th rank at the State Level. A cash prize of Rs.5000 along with a gold medal and a trophy was awarded to him.

Reverberation 2005 Bal Bharti Public School Noida, organized the inter school competition Reverberation 2005 from 28 –30 July. Students of CSN participated and received the following prizes:

Cyber Olympiad 2004 The fifth National Cyber Olympiad was conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation in CSN in which 401 students from class 3rd to 12th participated. The school secured some high rankings.

Cultural achievements

2013-2014

  • The Interschool Solo Dance Competition "ARAGYA" was held at Vishwa Bharti Public School Noida, when a pupil presented an Oddissi performance under the guidance of Mr. rajendra, the dance teacher, receiving second prize.
  • Interschool Festival Reverberations was held at Bal Bharti Public School, Noida. CSN participated in the activities at Senior and Junior level. A students received 1st prize in the Maths Lab activity.

2005-2006

  • Rhythms was held at Somerville School, Noida on 10 November 2005. CSN studente were awarded:
  • Solo singing - 1st prize.
  • Duet - 1st prize.
  • Group song - 1st prize.
  • The overall trophy was gained by CSN
  • Helpage India Quiz. On 10 August 2005 the school was in the zonal round of the quiz at Jaipur. They were runners-up.

2002-2003

  • CSN organized a Teacher Empowerment Programme designed by WATIS (Wipro Applying Thought in Schools) on the school premises from Dec 2001 - May 2002. 35 teachers from Cambridge School branches attended the course.

2000-2001

  • Noida Lok Manch Talent Search Trophy- two students won scholarships for the year.
  • A botanical garden was built by the Environmental Club.

1999-2000

  • NIE Speak 99 - 1st prize for East zone
  • NIE Speak '00 - 1st prize for East zone
  • National level Stic Colour contest 2nd prize

Sports achievements

2013 – present

  • Andindya Londua, an-ex student, is an eminent International badminton player in the World Junior Under-19 category with a record 14 international junior world ranking singles, 21 doubles and 22 mixed doubles titles. He has also won 56 national titles. He's currently in the national top 3 and world top 10 in his category and also an Olympic gold medalist .

2009-2010

  • In roller skating, a student won a Gold Medal and a Silver Medal in the CBSE East Zone Roller Skating Competition held at Meerut, and represented the school in the CBSE National Roller Skating Competition held at Chandigarh.

2005-2006

  • In cricket a student was selected for the under-17 Boys UP State Cricket Team camp for the Vijay Merchant Trophy Cricket Tournament.
  • An Inter-school cricket tournament was organized by Dist. G.B. Nagar at Cambridge School Noida for the under-15 boys group. The school team reached the semi final.
  • The cricket team reached the semi final in the Captain Kant Memorial Inter School Cricket Tournament held at Noida stadium.
  • A student was selected for the Dist. Girls Cricket Team and went to Kanpur to participate in UP State sub-Junior Cricket Tournament.

Football

  • The football team participated in the CBSE Cluster III UP State Tournament. After beating local schools they reached the inter-zonal final played at Meerut.
  • The girls football team won the district matches by beating Delhi Public School, Noida.
  • The girls football team won the tournament at Army Public School

BasketBall

  • Dist. Basketball Tournament was held at Noida Stadium for under-16 boys. CSN reached the third round.
  • Deep Memorial Inter-school Basketball Tournament was held at Ghaziabad. CSN reached the quarter finals.
  • Four teams were selected to represent the District Basketball team.

Cricket

  • The cricket team won the A.C.DEB Memorial Cricket Tournament(T-20)-2009 organized by Cambridge School Noida. The final was played between Cambridge School Noida and Cambridge School Srinivaspuri.
  • The cricket team won the 8th Capt.Shashikant Memorial Cricket Tournament organised by District Cricket Association at the Noida Stadium.
  • Students won the A.C.Deb Memorial Cricket Tournament(T-20) organized by Cambridge School Noida. The final was played between Cambridge School Noida and Cambridge School Srinivaspuri.
  • Students won the Father Agnel School Cricket Tournament (under 13). CSN students won the match defeating DPS Noida by four wickets. CSN defeated Bhai Parmanand Cricket Academy in the match.
  • The team was runners–up in the Shashi Kant Memorial Cricket Tournament.

1999-2000

  • The District Women's Badminton Championship was won by a student. The District Women Table Tennis Championship was won by a student. An inter-school March Past Competition was organized by the Noida Authority, CSN won 1st prize.

1996-1997

  • Seven Scouts along with the Scout Master participated in the IIIrd SAARC and 13th National Jamboree held at Bhubneshwar,Orissa. The school was First in the March-Past Inspection and Adventure Activity. The scout master was judged the best Scout Master of the Northern region.

1995-1996

  • A student gained First Prize in the XXII Delhi state level Roller skating Championship

1994-1995

  • A student won the gold medal for the Indian Karate Federation-National Championship for girls.

1992-1993

  • Student 1st Prize in Haryana State Karate Championship
