Cain & Annabelle are an American alternative folk/americana music duo founded by singer/songwriters Artemus James and Annabelle LaFoy in early 2009. The group's only release, to date, is a four-song EP, The Lake Takes which was a digital-only release on July 21, 2009.

History

Upon relocating to the southeast from Los Angeles, California in early 2008, James decided to take up music as a vocation.[1] In the midst of recording what was to be his first solo EP, he met Annabelle LaFoy.[1] After two months of corresponding the two met and played.[1] Their first show together was on March 3, 2009 and was broadcast live on WDVX in Knoxville, TN.

Their EP The Lake Takes was self-recorded in LaFoy's parents' lake cabin in Tellico, Tennessee in January 2009.[1][2]
