The Cabinet Secretary for Government Business and Constitutional Relations is a cabinet position in the Scottish Government, replacing the Minister for UK Negotiations on Scotland's Place in Europe post. The post was created in August 2016 during the 5th Scottish Parliament. [1]

History
The United Kingdom European Union membership referendum took place on 23 June 2016. The following position was that Scottish government would be involved in the development of the UK government's position before the trigging of Article 50.[2]
