    Dr. C. Vijayabaskar (or Vijayabasker; born 8 April 1974) is a MBBS graduate and Indian politician from the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Party (AIADMK),[1][2][3] and the Health minister of Tamil Nadu.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10] He is a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly for the Viralimalai constituency.He was previously elected from Pudukkottai constituency in 2001.

    Alleged obstruction of officials conducting an income tax raid at Vijayabhaskar's house in April 2017 led to First Information Reports being filed against his fellow ministers, R. Kamaraj and Udumalai K. Radhakrishnan.[11]

    Tamil Nadu Health Minister C Vijayabaskar faced a second central agency probe in two years, with the CBI knocking at his doors after the Income Tax raid last year in 2017. Vijayabaskar is the first state minister to come under the IT and CBI scanner, with both the raids being carried out in the post-Jayalalithaa era.[12]
