C. Venkata S. Ram is a doctor and pioneer in field of Hypertension. Currently, he is the Director, Apollo Institute for Blood Pressure Management, Apollo Hospitals and Professor, Apollo Medical College, Hyderabad, India. In 2013, S. Ram was awarded the Padma Shri by the President of India for his contributions to the field of medicine, for his work in hypertension and prevention of heart disease. [1] [2]

Bio


C Venkata S. Ram graduated from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, India in the year 1971. He was trained at Brown University in Providence, USA, and University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA. He Served on the faculty of University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, USA for over 30 years. He also served as the director of hypertension clinics at Parkland, and St.Paul University Hospitals, Dallas, USA. [3]
