"Bum Bum" is a song by Dominican American recording artist Kat DeLuna with American recording artist Trey Songz. The song was written by DeLuna, Songz and Sam Hook and produced by A-Wall. The title is a reference to the singer's buttocks as an object of sexual desire.
The song contains a sample of "Bam Bam" by Jamaican dancehall recording artist Sister Nancy[1] and a lyrical interpretation of "It Wasn't Me" by Jamaican-American reggae recording artist Shaggy.[2]
Composition
"Bum Bum" represents a major change of pace for the club queen with its slow, tropical beats and explicit Trey Songz feature.[3] In the opening line of the song, DeLuna sings "If you wanna love me, you gotta do it right," over slinky horns. "'Cause every queen needs a king that wants her body all day, all night."[3]
