Doctor Robert W. Irvine, (1853–1897) nicknamed "Bulldog",[2] was a Scottish rugby football player.[3]
Rugby career
He was capped 13 times for Scotland between 1871–80,[3] including the first ever rugby international.[4] He also played for Edinburgh Academicals.[3]
Personal life and family
He was the brother of Duncan Irvine who was also capped for Scotland.[3]
