Bud Church (Norwegian: Bud kyrkje) is a parish church in Fræna Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the village of Bud. The church is part of the Bud parish in the Molde arch-deanery in the Diocese of Møre. [1] [2]

History

The prior church was first mentioned in 1589. That building was partially demolished in 1648 and then expanded to the north and south. It burned down as a result of lightning strikes in 1709. The present white wooden church was built in 1717 and was consecrated by the Peder Krog (1654–1731), Bishop of the Diocese of Nidaros. The church is a cross-form church with a unique onion-style dome and spire on top. The church seats about 250 people. [3]
