Bruno Messerli

Bruno Messerli (born September 17, 1931 in Belp) is a Swiss geographer and university professor, who focuses on geographic high mountain research.[1] He was appointed Full Professor of Geomorphology in 1968 by the University of Bern[2], where he worked in teaching and research until his retirement in 1996.[3] He contributed significantly to the inclusion of a mountain chapter in the Agenda 21.[4]
