Taxonomy

The generic name Bromius Chevrolat in Dejean, 1836 is a conserved name. It had been threatened by the name Eumolpus Kugelann in Illiger, 1798; an application was made to ICZN in 2010 to conserve Bromius Chevrolat in Dejean, 1836 and other names by suppressing Eumolpus Kugelann in Illiger, 1798, which was accepted by ICZN in 2012.[5][6]
