Broager Church is a church in the locality of Broager, Denmark.[1]

The chapel and vestry are Gothic-style and the whole church is built of bricks. The churchyard has the tallest wooden bell tower in Denmark, which dates back to 1650. The church itself is decorated with lovely murals from various periods. The late-Gothic murals in the eastern vault of the nave and north chapel are the most eye-catching. The chapel's paintings depict the legend of St George killing the dragon, and his martyrdom. These pictures, together with the late medieval carved wooden figure of the dragon slayer from app. 1490, which is as tall as a man, formed the setting for the chapel's Saint George cult.

The altarpiece from 1717 had in 1993 a thorough restoration, made by Anthon Günther Lundt from Sønderborg. The style is Baroque with accanthus foliage. The pulpit is renaissance from 1591 made at one of the fine local joiner-workshops in Flensburg. The baptismal font origins from the first building period of the church together with the communion table. The font – a so-called Funen-type – is put together by two granite types, a reddish basin upon a greyish foot. Upon the foot are four carved male heads, two with pageboy haircuts and no beard and two with center parting and beard. The lid of the font is a wooden crown from 1787. The baptismal dish is brass from the same period.

Cemetery: Monuments 1848-1850, 1864 and 1914-18.

Broager Church is open from whatever is first of Easter and 1 April, to end October daily from 9 am to 5 pm.
