Brighton Road is a former railway station situated near Balsall Heath in the West Midlands, England.

The station opened in 1875 on what was then the Midland Railway's Camp Hill Line. As with the other passenger stations on the line, it succumbed to 'wartime economy measures' in 1941 and never reopened.[1] Brighton Road is situated in the heart of Balsall Heath.

Reopening Plans

In July 2017, it was proposed that the station could reopen as part of the plans to reopen the line through the site for passengers after the new metro mayor revised plans for the reopening of the line with a stop at Balsall Heath as well as Moseley, Kings Heath and Hazelwell.[2] The station would be called Balsall Heath.
