Boston Scott (born April 27, 1995) is an American football running back for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Louisiana Tech.[1] He was drafted by the Saints with the 201st overall pick in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.[2]

High school and college career

Scott attended the Zachary High School where he was the leading rusher and earned local and state honors.[3] He was a high school state champion in weightlifting.[4]

In his senior season at Louisiana Tech, the diminutive running back has rushed for 937 yards on 163 attempts for a 5.7 per attempt average.[5] He amassed 1,301 yards overall offense contributing 108.4 yards per game in 2017.[6] Scott was a watchlist candidate for the Wuerffel Trophy.[7]

Professional career

Scott was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round (201st overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.[8] On May 10, 2018, Scott signed his rookie contract with the Saints.[9] After making the Saints' initial 53-man roster, he was waived on September 5, 2018 and was re-signed to the practice squad.[10][11]
