Bolbitis riparia is a species of fern in the Elaphoglossoideae subfamily. It is endemic to Ecuador. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.

The Bolbitis riparia has a population trend that is decreasing. The plant is known to be found in the provinces of Napo and Sucumbios, Ecuador. Its ecology lies in the Amazonian forest on the lowlands and foothills. The main threat that affects the bolbitis riparia is deforestation for agricultural expansion. It is becoming vulnerable to be an endangered species.[1]
