Bloxham Village Museum

Bloxham Village Museum is a local museum located in the village of Bloxham in Oxfordshire, England.[1]

Overview

The museum was established in 1980.[2] The museum collection includes carpets and associated objects from Steel's Carpet Mill in the village and books published by Gaston's Alpine Books,[3] founded by the Alpinist Louis Baume and latterly based in Bloxham.[4]

The museum is in the old court house in a corner of St Mary's churchyard. This was rebuilt in the 1680s and retains some 14th-century details.[5]
