Bishan Park Secondary School (BPSS/BPS) was a government-aided, co-educational secondary school located in Bishan, Singapore. The school has merged into Peirce Secondary School in 2018.[1]
History
The school has since grown and established itself to become one of the more value-added schools in the Bishan neighbourhood.
The Ministry of Education announced Bishan Park Secondary School as one of the schools to be affected by the merger programme. As a result, it merged by Peirce Secondary School in 2018.[1]

Lots Of Love Club (LOL Club)
The Lots of Love Club (aka LOL club) is a unique club to Bishan Park Secondary. They mainly focus on literature and Values In Action activities. Their previous name was the IVE club before it was changed in 2017. This club was disbanded in 2018 when the merger with Peirce Secondary School, the members of this club joined other CCA after it was disbanded.

The Student Council
The student council members are selected by requesting to join and being accepted the teachers in charge or the teacher requesting students to join. Student Council members must wear their school ties and student council badge everyday. They have morning meetings every Monday before school starts in the parade square except for exam days however, the 14th EXCO president changed this so morning meetings happens only if there are events coming up or for student council bonding activities.
Student Council Morning Assembly Duties
The members of the student are assigned duties for the week at Saturday or Sunday by whatsapp. The duties are assigned by 2 members of the EXCO. The members who are assigned their duty carry out their duties for a week and help find replacements if unable to perform their duties for that day. The members who carry their duties must report to their locations 5 minutes before the start of morning assembly (except for IC duty).
IC Duty
This duty is performed by 2 members of the EXCO before the start of the morning assembly. The EXCOs performing this duty ensures that everyone else is at their positions before morning assembly starts.
Patrolling duty
This duty is performed by 2 members of the EXCO. The EXCOs performing this duty check each class in the school during morning assembly (except for days where the students assemble in class) for any students there and ask them to return to the hall. They first assemble the assembly venue and leave after the national anthem, pledge and school song.
Announcer duty
This duty is performed by 2 female student council members at the stage in the hall or at the front of the parade square. The announcers recite the national pledge to the school during morning assembly. They take turns on who recites the pledge and decide who will recite that day. The other announcer remains on the other side of the stage or beside the main announcer in the parade square. If the students assemble in class, one of announcers goes to the general office to recite the pledge over the PA system.
Commander duty
This duty is performed by 2 male student council members at the stage in the hall or at the front of the parade square. The commanders start the morning assembly at the command to the teacher. They also signal the start of the national anthem and the school song. They take turns on who will command that day and decide who will command that day. The other commander remains on the other side of the stage or beside the main commander in the parade square.
Flag Raising duty
This duty is split into hall and parade square national flag raising duty, and hall and parade square school flag raising duty. 2 Student Council members are stationed at each duty location (a total of 8 student council members). They take turns on who will raise the flag that day and decide who will raise it that day. The remaining Student Council member stands behind the person raising the flag. If the students are assembling in class that day, the flag is immediately raised and the flag raiser returns to class. The flag raisers stationed at the parade square collect the flags at the general office while the flags in the hall are already there as they are not taken down at the end of the school day. If is raining, the flag raisers immediately raise the flags and return to the hall.
Glass and Wooden Door Duty
This duty is carried out by 2 student council members at each main door in the hall, the glass and wooden doors. They close the door when the morning assembly starts and open it when they end.
Chair IC duty
This duty is carried out by 1 Student Council member. They assign other student council members to put out the chairs in the hall and also help put out chairs for the teachers before morning assembly. They also help stack the chairs after morning assembly and return them to the back to the hall.
