Big Brother Albania 9 is the ninth season of the Albanian television series of the worldwide franchise of Big Brother. It was based upon the Dutch series of the same name, which gained notoriety in 1999 and 2000. It started on March 18, 2017 and ended on June 24, 2017 on Top Channel.[1] The show will run for 100 days. The winner will received 15,000,000 Leks (€100,000) and for the first time in the Big Brother history the winner will be a couple.[2][3][4] The winner couple was Danjel & Fotini. The main host is again Arbana Osmani who returned for the eighth time, after taking the previous season off due to pregnancy. [5][6][7][8][9]

Big Brother Fans' Club returned with the main host Albana Osmani, and Olti Curri that he will be part of the show. The Fans' Club show featured dialogues with evicted bcontestants, housemates from the previous series and fans of the show.[10][11] Big Bastards is the new show for Big Brother Albania 9 and it will be after the Live Eviction Show. [12][13][14]

The live eviction show is every Saturday at 21:00 CET, while every day of the week at 16:00-17:00 is a one-hour episode that there you will see what happens into the house. Fans' Club is every Sunday at 13:00-15:00. Big Bastards after the live eviction show at 23:45.

Like all the previous seasons, two 24/7 live PPV channels, with the name Big Brother 1 and Big Brother 2, were made available on DigitAlb since the start of the show.

Auditions

Auditions for Big Brother Albania 9 will be in Tirane and Pristina.[15][16][17][18][19][20][21]

Open auditions

Producers auditions commenced on 6 January in Tirane and ended on 30 January again in Tirane.

Housemates

  • On Day 1, 10 single housemates and 5 couples entered the house.[22][23]
  • Viewers will have three weeks to decide who will be the new couples.
  • From Day 1, the 10 singles housemates were in another house and the 5 couples in another house.
  • 8 couples entered the house on Day 50.
  • From Week 10, Ambra and Elsamed no longer a couple. They are playing the game separately.

Bachelor House and Couple House

Summary

  • On Day 1, the 10 single housemates were entered the Bachelor House and the 5 couples were entered the Couple House.
  • On Day 8, Damiano coupled with Donjeta, Danjel coupled with Fotini and they moved to the Couples House.
  • Also, Dona, Egnajt, Kleodiana & Musa entered the Big Brother House as singles, and they lived in the Bachelor House.
  • On Day 11, Donjeta and Damiano walked, due to Donjeta who wanted to leave the house so Damiano left the House with her.
  • On Day 15, Damiano returned by the most public votes, but he was single so he entered the Bachelor House again.
  • The same day, Sidrita coupled with Ervin and they moved to the Couples House.
  • On Day 22, Armela coupled with Damiano, Xheni coupled with Benard, Dona coupled with Musa and they moved to the Couples House.
  • Liridon wasn't coupled with any of the girl housemates so he was evicted.
  • And Kleodiana and Egnajt didn't accept to be a couple with each-other so they were ejected by Big Brother.
  • From week 4 all the housemates (couples) lived together.
