Bhama Vijayam (English: Young Lady's Victory) is a 1967 Telugu swashbuckling fantasy film, produced by Somasekhar and Radha Krishna under the Shekar Films banner[3] and directed by C. Pullaiah.[4] It stars N. T. Rama Rao and Devika in the lead roles,[5] with music composed by T. V. Raju.[6][7]
Plot
Sundari (Devika) is a tribal beauty. Once she was kidnapped by a King, Kalinga Bhupati Kamavardhanudu (Rajanala); when he tries to molest her, she kills him and runs away. The soldiers follow her and she was protected by a Prince, Jayachandra (N. T. Rama Rao). Jayachandra loves her at first sight, but he comes to know that she hates Kings. So, he hides his identity and takes her to the fort, teaches all sorts of education required for a Queen and marries her with the permission of his parents (Mukkamala & S. Varalakshmi). Meanwhile, Vahini (Vijaya Nirmala), a heavenly dancer comes to earth to help her sister Mohini (L. Vijayalakshmi), who came to earth to obstruct the penance of a saint. While returning, Vahini sees Jayachandra and falls for him. First, she makes him unconscious and takes him to heaven. On earth, the King, Queen and Sundari are worried about the Prince's disappearance. In heaven, Jayachandra did not yield to the love of Vahini. After some time, he requests them that he wants to meet his wife for a night. Vahini brings Sundari to heaven and she very happily meets her husband, both of them unknowingly drink the divine drink nectar Amurtham and sleep, when she awakes, she is back in the palace. Nobody believes her meeting with Jayachandra; when she becomes pregnant, the King orders the death sentence for her. Due to the nectar, she became immortal, as a result, soldiers are not able to complete the King's order. so, they leave her in the forest where tribal people save her. After that, she gives birth to a baby boy and gives the child to the King of the area Udayarka (Dhulipala). Mohini comes back to heaven, she is also attracted towards Jayachandra, so she sprays a medicine on him, by which Jaya Chandra forgets his past. After facing so many troubles, Sundari lands at a brothel house. Twenty years roll by, due to immortality, Sundari did not lose her beauty, but she protects her chastity in the brothel house. Meanwhile, the boy grows up by the name Balarka (Nagaraju). Once he rescues Sundari and she recognizes him as his son. Balarka inquires about her and goes to meet her. At that place, one cow is asking a calf why she is crying, then the calf says that Balarka kicked it, then the cow says that a person in lust cannot recognize his mother. Sundari could not see her son in a brothel house, so she jumps into the fire, but she was protected by a cowherd couple. There in heaven, Jaya Chandra gets rid of the effect of Mohini and he will start searching for Sundari, Vahini understands him and sends him back. Jaya Chandra reveals the entire truth to his parents; when they say Sundari has been sentenced to death, he remembers that she has taken nectar and she is immortal. So, he is in search of her. At the same time, Balarka comes to know that Sundari is her mother, he too goes to find her. Finally, all of them meet in the forest and the entire family is reunited.
