Bhagirathi Mali

The Bhagirathi Mali claim to be descendants of the Ikshvaku dynasty king Sagara and the Suryavansha king Bhagiratha, whom the community is named after. They adopted the Saini surname in 1941.[1]

There are also some families located in touch with Haryana border where you can find the original Saini community like the district of western up saharanpur and Haridwar of Uttrakhand. Here the community is in full power and reputation. 99.99% are of them Saini not the Mali
