Beverley Bergen

Beverley Bergen (née Hamberton) is a New Zealand soprano opera singer.[1]

In 1966, Bergen won the Stella Murray Memorial Prize in a contest organised by the Royal Commonwealth Society in London.[2] She toured with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra on a number of occasions in the 1970s and 1980s.[3][4][5] Bergen also performed with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Australian Chamber Orchestra in the 1980s.[6][7]

In 2000, Bergen hosted an 8-episode television series Aria & Pasta, in which opera stars performed arias and prepared pasta dishes.[8]

Personal life

Bergen married English conductor Anthony Hose; their daughter Tushka Bergen was born in London in 1969.[9]
