Between Birth and Death is the second full-length studio album by alternative metal band Sunk Loto. Released in November 2003, it featured the singles "Everything Everyway" and "Starved", for which music videos were made. It peaked at No. 48 on the ARIA Albums Chart.[1] At the ARIA Music Awards of 2004 it was nominated for Engineer of the Year for Phil McKellar's work.[2] McKellar was also its producer.[3]

Somewhat of a departure from their previous releases, 1999's Society Anxiety EP and 2000's Big Picture Lies, Between Birth and Death is far heavier than before and shows greater complexity in song structure. Despite these changes, the album nevertheless received rave reviews upon its release.
