Betty Harlafti is a young Greek mezzo-soprano and singer.[1][2] She performs the classical repertoire as well as a diverse repertoire encompassing Greek composers, lyrical, traditional, rebetiko, jazz and ethnic music in several languages. She is most well known for her collaboration with Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis and his orchestra. She has performed in numerous concerts in Greece (Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Athens Concert Hall, the Badminton Theater etc), the US (New York - Merkin Concert Hall, the Harvard Club of New York etc) and Europe (Switzerland - Salle Paderewski, Germany etc) winning positive critics. The National Herald wrote for her “Betty Harlafti dazzles fans”. She has also performed in a cycle of concerts alongside Maria Farantouri,and other famous Greek artists. She has performed for the Hellenic Television and other broadcasts. In 2014 her first personal album Who may you be? with songs by Michalis Souyioul was released. In June 2017 her new album with works of Mikis Theodorkis and epic arrangements of Yannis Belonis is released in two versions (Greek version/international version) where she recorded with the Greek National Contemporary Symphony Orchestra. The album contains two unreleased songs Theodorakis gave to the artist that are heard for the first time worldwide. Zülfü Livaneli, Maria Farantouri & George Perris honor her with their participation in the album.

Betty Harlafti was born in Athens, and her family comes from Asia Minor.She holds a Diploma in Classical Singing from the Acropolis Conservatory of Athens, the London College of Music Examinations Diploma in classical singing performance and has attended singing master classes in Greece and Germany with counter tenor Michael Chance and others. She holds a Degree in Geology from the University of Patras.
